I worked with Western Nebraska Community College (WNCC) in Scottsbluff, Nebraska for two years. What I enjoyed most was visiting our rural campuses, one of them being in Alliance, Nebraska.
I would go there to take pictures and gather stories, and the visits were always wonderful. A particularly memorable trip was in December, following a heavy frost. Not being a technically gifted or particularly patient photographer, I find pride in the fact that my photos are how things actually look if you are there.
This is exactly how the road between Scottsbluff and Alliance looked that chilly and sunny afternoon.
