Sink Creek Trail offers a pleasant, 2.3 mile hiking loop through rolling forest hills with a creek, sink hole ponds, and plenty of beech and southern magnolia.
For a quicker walk in the woods, follow the Moonshine Creek Trail, a cutoff which lasts about a mile.
Though the trails are short, they share the San Felasco Hammock Preserve parking lot, with the much longer Spring Grove Trail just across the street to offer six more miles of hiking or jogging.
A seeming favorite among young locals, expect moderate to heavy use.
While there aren’t many interesting views or a particular destination, the loop is hilly and a pleasant time outdoors for a quick walk, a run, a kid-friendly jaunt, or a second stop after Spring Grove Trail across the street.
