Lake Alto Preserve Treefrog Trail
Hiking Treefrog Trail at Lake Alto with Images and other Information
Alachua County
Entry Fee: None
Waldo, Florida
Traffic: Light
IMPORTANT NOTE: For the complete hiking trails system (4-miles) which starts with Treefrog Trail, see the Lake Alto Preservation Area page.
Lake Alto Park offers more than boating, fishing, and a picnic grounds. Along with the LEAFS trail at the south end of the parking lot, to the north you will find the Lake Alto Preserve Treefrog Trail for hiking. This trail cuts all the way up to the Lake Alto North Preserve – only a mile or so away as the crow flies, but there are many intersecting trails and sites to see in between.
This portion of the trail invites a much closer look at the organic patterns and fractal details of natural beauty, a few of which I have captured here.
