While certainly not the the biggest hike in Flagler County, Florida, it’s an enjoyable early morning stop with much else nearby.
I measured just a half mile on the well-maintained, there and back trail in the conservation area that leads just halfway around the pond. But it is a a great getaway walk with with calming scenery and a choice of two opposing piers. They are great for sitting alone and thinking, and doing some cat fishing as the St. John’s River Management District keeps Pellicer Pond stocked for that purpose.
With the amazing hiking opportunities of Princess Place Preserve just under 3 miles or 11 minutes away down Princess Place Road, this is a no miss stop along the way.
For longer distance hiking, check out the Power Line Trail Head leading into a different portion of this conservation area.
